Meh. Words change meaning. Drabble these days just means, "really short snippet fic". More importantly, let's call out those people who post 20 drabbles at once as individual stories. Those people need to be trapped in a room full of legos while barefoot.

And I'm forever grateful to those people. :)

Really, one of my pet peeves is stumbling upon a "collection" of unrelated fics/drabbles/ficlets of various pairings and fandoms. I'm not patient enough to wade through all those to find the one for the fandom or pairing I want to read.

Seriously. If you're going to consolidate them, consolidate them in a way that makes actual sense.

Agreed! It's easier for me as a reader to find works I want to read when they're posted separately. And I imagine it would be better for the author to post them individually because one tag or category or warning might draw readers and another might discourage readers or keep the work from showing in search results.

MTE. Not every author is considerate enough to include a content index.

Yep

drabble is a short story without plot, a snippet.

Re: Yep

Nope. The idea is to tell a whole and complete story in exactly 100 words. Plot and development and all. Not a snippet at all.

may be it's different in your side of fandom?

According to urbanDict it has 2 meanings, one of which is yours and another:

A short piece of writing (usually fanfiction but sometimes original), usually no more than a 1000 words (although length is debatable) and often not bearing any real direction or plot.

Possibly. I'm from the older set of fandom and still go with the UK SF society meaning that was around in the early 80ies.
