What is this book about? Sounds interesting.

It's about a girl named Cathy, who's a BNF in the fictitious "Simon Snow" (aka Harry Potter) fandom and socially incompetent in every other way. Her sister has just left the fandom, leaving Cath unsure if she's ready for the change she wants. (I loved that. I loved her characterization. I seriously can't praise Rowell enough for how believable Cath was.) And there's a sanctimonious, completely unbelievably boring and perfect love interest named Levi (aka Peeta Mellark). There's some interaction between Cath and her fanfiction-hating professor where I wanted to superglue their mouths shut until they stopped being complete morons. It's...a good book, I would recommend it, but it wasn't as life-affirming/altering as I think it tried to be.

Of course, your mileage may vary.
