It depends on where you intern. *Some* internships are incredibly rewarding and you learn a ton from them about how your industry works and what you learn is more than worth paying what you'd be paid elsewhere, just for the experience. The majority... nope, not worth it at all. But it's not entirely hopeless. It all depends on where you are and who you're working under.
