Re: Unpaid internships

I'm doing a journalism internship, and at this point, it's been nothing but flexible with lots of support. It only takes a few hours a week and I can do it at home - copyediting, plus a short article. I get my name featured.

Do I think I deserve to get paid? Well... I guess some compensation would be nice - or should I say, ethical? But it's not that hard or time-consuming, and the manager has been extremely helpful and I am sure this will be a great reference for the future. I'm not bothered about doing it for free.

But it's really not an average internship, I suppose.
