Why not take it as a positive? Like hey, this horrible person must have at least one positive trait. Calm your hatred, give peace a chance!

And um, I don't know if that's ever been an issue for me, but I like a lot of characters who range from jerk to villain, so if someone I disliked identified with them I'd just laugh.
