I think Cath is a pretty realistic, relatable character, if a bit stiff at times. I absolutely hated the fanfiction reading scene with Levi, though. That was the moment he lost any of his believability. I cringed more during that scene than I did when Cath and her professor talk about fanfiction (for a given definition of talk, anyway). And as far as being a fandom testament...no, no it's not.
