Ah, the catch-22 of being female and/or non-white: no matter what choices you make, someone will be freaking out over it and telling you how terrible you are.

Successful? You sucked up to the man. Failure? You're letting the man win. Landed [job]? You're a race- and/or gender-traitor. Landed [other job]? You're reinforcing a stereotype. Decided to be a stay-at-home mother? You're buttressing the patriarchy.

How about this: people should be allowed to do whatever the fuck they want with their lives without some asshat coming out of the woodwork to tell them that it's wrong. And folks who claim to be "progressive" or "social activists" should stop telling minorities what to do with their lives, because that is no fucking different from men telling women what to do or white people telling black people what to do.
