They've apparently been tracking down the places that have broken the street dates and giving them some sort of repercussions and they've been *trying* to contain the leaks by taking down the leakers' posting area but haven't had much luck as they've been fairly widespread. They can't take charges against people who have bought games at places where the street dates have been broken, because they haven't done anything wrong. Some reviewers have apparently also gotten repercussions because they've leaked news.

A digital-only release would be a lot more feasible if they don't want leaks next release, but it's gonna be a lot more than a year before digital-only is standard.

They'd have to take down the entirety of 4chan to stop it, honestly. And even if they closed /vp/, people would still flock to /v/ and stuff.

Just looking at the /vp/ front page right now, out of fifteen posts, ten show leaks. ...And oh wow, that one actually was true. Huh. Strange.
