Well, yeah. But I am not Michael Fassbender. Believe me, I'd know if I was Michael Fassbender or within 20 miles of Michael Fassbender.

But even in other things like WoW people would think I was male. Even when playing on my female characters.

To be fair, playing a female character on WoW is anything but conclusive proof that someone is female. My ex-boyfriend had eight characters and only two of them were male.

Not sure if it's necessarily comparable, but worth mentioning that in Monster Hunter I'd say a good 85% of hunters are female, despite most of the player base being male.

People think I'm a guy too, but that's because my name is Riley. There's a lot of assumptions about that name.

I don't correct them either. It just hasn't really affected my fandom life at this point.
