i have red hair and i personally really hate being called ginger/a ginger, generally when people say it they're in the process of insulting us. even if they aren't, i've never liked the term and get offended if people use it to refer to me after i've asked them not to.

but the term isn't racist, and hating redheads isn't racist. it's an asshole thing to do for sure but being a shitlord and being a racist are two different things.

I'm actually 100% with you on this. Also a redhead (with a small redhead son) and it's never a term that has been used toward me in an "affectionate" or even positive way.

So yeah, douchebag move but not racist in the least.
