Re: Physical illness from mental/emotional stimuli

When I was about 10 or 11 I once fainted from not eating and then having to stand for a long time during choir, this was a regular occurence during concerts, like we had about one to three people every time, almost always different people.

I have also a fear of needles and since my cancer treatment (being in and out of the hospital for about 2 years and seeing lots and lots of all kinds of fluids going in and out of you) some years ago I faint almost any time I have to give blood and start panicking and hyperventilating. I also have a lot more issues with 'sympathy pain', as in hearing stories about body horror or watching medical dramas will make me clench up in remembered pain.

On the other hand I think it's more a case of trauma/phobia related stuff than mere 'emotional sickness'.
