Sham Wow/Shammies. Dude, they're amazing. We got a whole bunch years ago and, though they're stretched out and definitely look like they've been used, they still are absorbent as ever. (I'm mostly surprised because I expected them to dry out and crack like sponges do.) We use them at the beach and pool, when my aging dog became incontinent, mopping up kitchen spills, even just wet dogs.

Then one day at the county fair, my mom and I saw they'd made them into SWEATERS. We got one for my surfing sib and best buddy. They love them and wear them all the time.

But yea, they can make stuff do anything on TV. Anyone remember that sunscreen that was body paint?

Yes! I do remember that. I'm pretty sure the "paint" was zinc oxide which is still used as a physical barrier sunscreen.

I had heard good things before about the Sam Wow cloths, so that's good to have it corroborated. :)

Yuss! It wasn't as fun as the kids in the commercials, but it was kinda cool while it lasted. Sure made us want to put on more sunscreen, that's for sure!

One addendum to the shammies: We always wring them out when moving them from washer to dryer. Most times the spin cycle's enough, but there have been times...

Oh that makes sense that they would hold onto water even after the spin cycle. Good to know.
