Hey, that's not nearly as bad as people who tag twenty pairings aside from the main one, plus every single character who is mentioned or makes a brief appearance.

I don't understand why people tag characters. Pairings maybe, because there are pairings that squick people out, but every character? Whyyyy.

I love AUs!!!!!! Anon said they'd read anything. There are a lot of AUs, even good AUs, that give background characters canon names and almost nothing else.

If the character plays a major role in the story, or is in at least a good part of it, I'd like them to be tagged because sometimes I do want to read about a particular character. If the character just has a bare mention or a couple lines, though, I agree that it's pretty ridiculous.

My favorite character is very minor. Most of the fics under his tag are canon-novelizations in which he appears for, oh, maybe a sentence or two as the author gets his canon scenes out of the way, or even summarizes them as they happen offscreen.

In one fic where he's tagged, he does not actually appear at all but is mentioned in passing as part of a joke.

Yeah, I mad.
