Re: Is there a Sherlock Holmes fanfic thing

This has been a thing in Sherlock Holmes fandom for the past 100 years.

I recently read two Sherlock fics that did this, a funny one-shot telling the story of the giant rat of Sumatra, as mentioned in "The Sussex Vampire", and another in which the Reichenbach case from the beginning of TRF turns out to be the Conk-Singleton forgery case mentioned in "The Six Napoleons".
