Yeah, I agree with this assessment. Both places have badfic -there's no question about that-, but the type of badfic is the major difference. (Even then, 'badfic' is still a fairly subjective term: a A/B/O coffeeshop AU starring wing!Sherlock and elf!Dean may be badfic to some, but to another, it's the best thing since cream gravy. Trash, treasure, et all)

That's all good and well. People should be able to enjoy whatever fic they want. I know I've probably enjoyed some fics that others would classify as 'badfic'

I think the problem comes when the people who like the "A/B/O coffee shop AU starring wing!Sherlock and elf!Dean" think they're oh so superior to those "stupid fangirls" that like OC 'Mary-Sue' fics.
I used to have that attitude a long time ago and but have since gotten over myself (thankfully).
