You're in the wrong fandom spaces. Most people hate this pairing or at least partially squicked.

Yeah, when I was getting into Calmp several years ago and thinking about checking out CCS, this pairing was one of the first things I was warned about. (Actually, just when I started getting curious about Clamp in general.)

While i'm sure there are people who defend it, I've never come across them.

Yeah, I've run across (misguided) people who will defend the Tsubasa clones and the end of XXXholic, but I have never seen anyone defend this pairing.
