We can't get along because someone made a wish in a reverse wishing well. It was stupid and clearly marked but you know how people don't read the signs.

To be serious, the reason the fandom can't get along is because people are people.

Yeah, but I had no idea it could reach this levels of bloodshed. To be honest, the last time I saw something like this was when Hussie made the "Caucasian" joke in Homestuck* and the resulting wank was so damn annoying even he said he was ashamed of the fans that defended the joke, and changed it to something else.

*Homestuck kids are drawn specifically so they can be interpreted as from any race. The only catch is - Half the kids have dark hair, and the other half has to be light-haired. But this is done for aesthetics only, and the skin color/race can be whatever you want.

Eh, you give people wiggle room they're going to fucking roll. Maybe I've been around fandom too long but this doesn't really surprise me or anything. This will continue whether we like it or not for a while until the people perpetuating it get bored and move to another fandom... if they move.
