Well, maybe not the Bechdel test, but how all-important it has become to certain sections of fandom. The Bechdel test did do something to raise awareness of a problem, but failing it does not automatically turn a great movie into a shit movie.

I think that's the main issues. It's a good starting point but it shouldn't be the be all and end all of judging how a work treats female characters.
