I smell bullshit. Went and looked thinking it was some huge popular story and the OP was *totes* jealous but it's a few stories with 11 comments and under 30 kudos.

Not sure where the secret gets that people are shitting themselves over this. Compare it to other stories with 300 some kudos doesn't seem worth the trouble at A03 and 3000 at fanfiction net.

Sounds like the author and her friends are trying to get popular by making a secret about themselves and having someone come down with a hard case of White Knight-itis. It also explains why the names were left on there. It's a small fic that just happens to have everyone here know what it is? Yeah, with 43k fics in that category on fanfiction net alone and all these people here read it?

As somebody said upthread, this story may be more 'prominent' than the AO3 ranking would make it seem b/c the author has posted every chapter to the LJ fic comm w/ lots and lots of headings so it's hard NOT to notice.

Whether that means a lot of people like it, though, idk.
