I should have read your comment before ranting incoherently in my own downthread. THANK YOU. Your whole second paragraph is exactly my feelings on PR after watching it. Tumblr led me to believe Mako was this amazing character who got her own story and was in control of her own life when, no, actually, she didn't even GET a proper story arc because it kinda fizzled out towards the end without any resolution. I can't understand why people are clamouring for this "Mako Mori Test" as if it's somehow more progressive to have ONE female character in a sausagefest like PR than two who actually get to talk to each other about other things apart from men.
