I love it when people complain about the paywall. Especially tumblr.

I just don't understand how hard it is for people to comprehend the idea of a somewhat private forum, or paying for content. These crazy youth!

Well, yeah, no one's forced to buy an account there and I couldn't give two shits because SDR2 is being mirrored.
But honestly, paying for a forum is silly to me, because I've never seen a forum where the content was actually worth any money.

The people who do, whether or not they're aware of the mirror, are kind of stupid and entitled. They want to read the lp asap, but for reals guys not that badly, so they make a post to whine about it.

It's like when someone gets upset that their favourite writer keeps their work behind a friend/member lock.

Yeah, I mean, people won't die if they don't get to read the DR LPs straight away. I just find the general concept of a paid forum silly.

Has that existed ever since or did it start with the LPs only?

It's always been a thing, although lps probably definitely increased traffic (if only for specific sub forums anyway).
