Now, I'm on the opposite end of the sexual spectrum from you, admittedly, but I had a thought that might help put things into perspective for you.

There are many things that, when in a fictional/fantasy setting, turn me on like whoa. Put them in a reality context, it's an immediate squick. Like I get turned on reading non-con/dub-con stories, but in real life, lack of consent is horrifying to me.

Sometimes what turns people on when it's not reality has no bearing on what our real life feelings are, if that makes any sense. Just because you have a very specific kink doesn't mean you're any less asexual. It just means you're human. :)
