I wouldn't call the Legion sequence evil. You only get the good ending to that one if you make both the right influence checks and the right sequence of choices through two games, and if you don't manage that, you have to basically decide which of the two shitty choices is marginally less worse. The outcome if you take the other option there is also pretty gut-wrenching.

(Unless there's another instance where you can beat the hell out of Legion that I'm not recalling.)

oh don't get me wrong i think destroying the quarians is probably the actual worst decision you can make in the game. i can't even watch that one on youtube. and i think the decision is actually really difficult to make which is why i'm so adamant about making the right choices each time i play. i do think killing legion is the less "bad" one, even though it was REALLY brutal/kinda overkill if you ask me.
