The other characters i can at least stand to some degree but the actress who plays skye gives off this vibe of smugness in almost every scene she's in which ruins her character for me.

A totally different type of "smug" from the rest of them I assume? Frankly that carrier-jet they tool around in must have "smug" as its primary fuel source to justify the amount of smug in the team.
