I already complained about this but I don't think anyone read it and I'm still pissed, so I'm just gonna say I hate the word 'frick'

it makes you sound twelve and you are an adult please stop it.

Am I the only one who thinks people sound immature when they're saying "fuck" all the time? And the excuse I always hear is that "it's to show I'm really mad/how strongly I feel" but it just sounds like you've learned a new "bad word" to use on the playground.

For me it's simply a bad habit. Nothing more. Nothing less.

And you're not the only one who thinks that. Pretty sure it's a common enough sentiment. You could start a thread as a head count to see who believes what if you want. It might be interesting.

It's not going to bring finesse to your speech, but it's more likely to pass as white noise than purposely avoiding it.

Seriously. It reminds me of the kids in high school who did it. They also threw around "gay" as an insult and sassed the teachers. So... that's my immediate association when I hear someone overuse the word - a sixteen year old who wants to be as offensive as humanly possible.

People did read it. People responded. Most disagreed. *shrug* I don't remember when you posted it though or I would provide a link.

I'm more partial to "frig," myself.

...I say "fuck" so much that I get sick of it, sometimes. So it's nice to have a similar alternative word.

"Friggin'" hits a bunch of angry phonemes without having any that are sharp enough to spike the word, so it comes out as a perfect angry growl.

It's so fun to say!

Yes, because repeatedly whining about people using words you don't like makes you sound so grown-up.
