Re: So tired and frustrated.
Stop.
Right now.
You need protein. You need carbs (healthy ones!). You need healthy fats and so much more just to get through the day.
If you DON'T get those things, your body is hanging on to every last precious piece of fat it has, because you are starving it and it is trying not to die.
You shouldn't eat less than 1300 calories a day. And if you feel like you absolutely have to snack? Eat something substantial, like a handful of nuts.
Before you work out, have a banana. Sure it has a lot of sugar, but unless you're diabetic, it's fuel (carbs/sugar), it's potassium (for your muscles!), and it's fiber (so you feel full!). Or you can eat it after you work out if it's left you feeling drained.
The most important thing you can do for your weight and health is to plan your meals. Look at what you're getting, and what you're not getting. If you think you're eating too much, but you're eating salads, you have the exact opposite problem sadly enough. I find it really hard when I'm making healthy food choices to eat ENOUGH food in the day, and so I have to go for something like a Kind nut/fruit bar or something.
I recommend going to join a site like myfitnesspal.com and try to get over your phobia of talking to others and comparing yourself. Ask them what they do that works for them. Talk to people who are educated and have had success. Especially people with a degree in this stuff.
My friend is in schooling to be a fitness trainer/kinesiologist, and has me eating 2000 calories on days that I work out. And if you think of a normal person who is not working out requiring 2000 a day to be healthy, anything in the range below (but NOT under 1300) creates the calorie deficit that starts burning fat.
So start slow. Don't beat yourself up. Make sure your body has what it NEEDS to be able to heal itself, or you're just going to kill your metabolism if you keep this up.
