Huh. I read het and gen in my teens/early twenties, and then moved on to mostly slash as I "matured." Guess one of us is retrograde.

Yep, pretty much the same for me - gen and het until my late teens, then moved on to slash. I still like reading gen, but I mostly prefer slash.
