(Anonymous) 2013-10-11 03:47 am (UTC)(link)You can find quite a few Japanese language schools, the only problem you'll have as a foreigner is getting a visa. Some schools DO offer visas, though, but do your research and compare prices to make sure they aren't charging too much. It can get expensive, especially considering the high cost of living, so if I were you I'd work and study Japanese at the same time. If you're a native English speaker or at least fluent, teach English - it's super easy to get a job, pay (depending on the company) can be pretty good for the amount of time and effort you put in, and some schools might even be able to give you or help you find Japanese lessons.
If you have any specific questions, I'm happy to try to help. I lived in Tokyo, by the way, and speak Japanese conversationally. Definitely go for it! Just remember to save a lot of money before you go, or get yourself a job. Preferably both!
