No. I feel the same way about myself as a baby. I'm equal to everyone else. We are the ones who grew up and survived long enough to become people. We have that status now. The ones who are still babies have not. We are realized potential and they are only potential. That's the difference.

Like it takes some kind of superior skill and cunning to not be left in a burning house by someone who'd rather save the dog at age one? No, and I don't know where you're getting that from. There's nothing about "earning," either. Nobody "earns" things. They grow and develop. Everyone does this, given enough time and good health.

I believe all people are equal. I just don't consider a newborn baby a person yet. I consider you greater than babies, for sheer factor of you being able to have this conversation with me.

Do you believe that not being a person is a horrible thing? Even if I don't consider a baby a person, they are still a living animal and I would respect them as much as I do any other animal. I certainly don't abuse animals and I treat them well, because they are other living things like me. They aren't people, however.
