I didn't say saving a dog is sociopathic. If a dog was in danger, I would save the dog. We're talking about a crazy hypothetical situation where you have to choose between the lives of a baby and a dog. In every case, I would pick the baby.
I don't know enough about psychology to say you're a sociopath, but I find your mindset really creepy and disturbing. You're not going to change my mind.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-12 01:25 am (UTC)(link)I don't believe in deciding moral weight simply by way of what something is born as, especially if said thing hasn't even had the time to fully become what it will eventually be. A caterpillar is not a butterfly. A tadpole is not a frog.
There are animals who deserve to live far more than some humans, and something simply being human is not enough to make them worth more than every other type of living creature to me.
