Make sure that he's sleeping on his side, so he doesn't drown in his own vomit.

Other than that, just let him be, and then make fun of him in the morning.

He's sitting up with his head sort of tilted back. Is that bad? I was mainly just worried about him being in pain when he woke up after sleeping that way but I've never really been around people at this stage of the drinking before.

Yeah, just see if you can kind of tilt him over onto his side or something. It's probably not a big deal, but better safe than sorry.
