Fucking Korra (Spoilers)

I knew this would happen the second I found out the new episode was about Mako and Asami. So many people said it couldn't happen, Asami would never want Mako back after what he did, blahblah. Welp, tonight's episode Asami kisses Mako. She kisses him first.

Really? I was so sick of the Korra/Mako/Asami love triangle in the last season, so you do it again? I'm officially done with Korra. The writing has become too awful for me to continue.

This is interesting to me since I've mostly heard Korra-love and Korra = amazing! on the inter-webs. Care to elaborate?

(I haven't seen Korra, mostly because it seemed boring and weirdly anti-normals.)

To put it simply, they decided that their show about a female Avatar needed to be centered around a love triangle that won't die. All the other plots from both seasons (which basically boil down to evil waterbenders in some fashion) are second to that nonsense.

I really want to watch Korra (after I finally watch the first show), but love triangles are absolutely my media kryptonite, so fuck that.

To be fair, it's not actually *centered* around the love triangle. There's one episode in the first season where it's in your face, but other than that it's just a scattering of scenes through out the rest of the episodes between the awesome.

This sounds like it might be a second episode that has it stronger elements of it - but I haven't seen it yet, so I can't say. [And frankly, sounds like it also might be getting rid of it too - or so I hope.]

AYRT Ugh, thanks for the heads up! I hate that trope - both the one where girls' stories have to be centered around romance and that romantic triangles must not only exist but drag on and on.

Actually I think that part of the story is much better this year then last year.

I kind of liked this episode, tbh. However as soon as Asami kissed Mako my enjoyment was ruined. And add into that the bullshit of Korra now having amnesia, I just can't. Though it probably won't last long. Even though I say that, I will more than likely continue watching. I'm a masochist.
