I wouldn't call it the best western I've seen but I did enjoy it. It's one of those fun summer popcorn movies. It caused me to crush on William Petersen big time :)

I would die for a Western fandom. They're the only movies (and tv shows? oh Gunsmoke) I get hyped about.

I would kill for Britt-centered Magnificent Seven fic but that movie has no fandom, either. And then there was another classic - I think it was "The white feather" or something. So much slashy potential!

I've seen Magnificent Seven fic before, quite a bit of it. I read a little of it but i'd never seen the movie and so it was kind of confusing. But it's out there!

I fan-girled this movie so much as a teen.

My poor parents.

I wouldn't say it's the very best, but I can only think of two I like better - The Cowboys with John Wayne and the remake of True Grit.

Oh Lou Diamond Phillips....I have the strangest crush on you.

But even now - he's still one damn fine man.

I wouldn't say best, but it might be the most enjoyable. It's good fun, which isn't normally the case with Westerns.

According to his wiki, his father was one-quarter Cherokee, which in Hollywood is considered more than close enough.

Oh, movie of my childhood, how I love you. I can't remember if it's in this one or the first one, but that scene where Emilio Estevez stands up in the bathtub and it shows his butt--my best friend and I wore a skip in the VHS tape rewinding and watching that scene over and over. LOL

Tombstone remains my favorite. Followed by Silverado, and The Cowboys. Young Guns remains a sheer amusing Brat Pack of a movie, to me, either version.

Tombstone, aww yisss! That movie is full of hot men everywhere you look. The only thing sexier than a gorgeous gunslinger is a film full of them.
