I would like to be a hobbit and live in a hobbit hole and sometimes be dragged out on adventures.

This. I WOULD say I'd like to be an elf just so I could be taller and prettier, but really, who the fuck wants to live that long? (Okay, some people would, but living for thousands of years sounds horrifying to me.) Dwarves are badass so maybe I could be a dwarf and carry an enormous axe, or be a Istari; I've always wanted magic! (Maybe I could live for thousands of years if I had magic. It would keep things interesting.)

yeah but I dunno, elves always seemed so... ascetic to me I guess. Hobbits are merry-makers. Being extremely short already I always kind of saw myself as being kinda hobbit-like anyway :P Maybe I'd start a whirlwind romance with an elf or something.

Yea, I do think being a Hobbit would probably be delightful, and I'm short already as well so it wouldn't be too much different. I'd just get a kickass hobbit hole.

I always think my two options would be a Hobbit in the Shire or an Elf in Valinor. Rivendell at a pinch.
