I didn't get interested in the show until about episode 8. I actually don't remember much of season 1-3, but I've seen seasons 4-8 twice.

My favorite episode is probably season 5 ep 8 "Changing Channels" because it's fun and goofy and not completely depressing and you get to learn something interesting about a character from way back when.

I don't know if I'd skip any episodes because pretty much every episode has something in it that answers something that came before or furthers the overall plot in some way. And, the ones that are filler-y are usually fun ones that you need to watch to break up the sadness.

I'm pretty newbish too since I just watched the whole show last month.
