Re: Supernatural

My friend got me into Supernatural after the fifth season aired. She helped me watch everything quick so I could catch the sixth season as it aired. She didn't like the first and second seasons much so she deemed much of those unimportant for me to watch. I have since watched them more in depth and I rather like them.
If we only talk about season one: Bugs is pretty bad, that's universally agreed. Route 666 is also infamously bad but the key words here are racist ghost truck so I highly recommend watching that for laughing purposes. The last three episodes of season one are super important. The Benders doesn't do much for plot progression, if I recall correctly, but the case they work is uniquely interesting and probably one of my favorites of the season. Hell House introduces Ed and Harry, recurring characters. Scarecrow introduces Meg, who is pretty important and Shadow deals with her, too. Bloody Mary, Skin, and Home are all really strong episodes. Home is important because it goes into the Winchester backstory. Provenance has Sarah, who everyone seems to love. I don't find her particularly compelling, but it's a good episode. They're pretty much all really good episodes, but certainly in the first season, compared to later ones, there are way more episodes that can stand alone.
