Yah but it still showcases the (imo) prevailing attitude of its users, which is MY biggest gripe, tbh.

This week we've revisited constantly the idea that in Tumblr dwell some very nasty and vocal people... but they are part of a minority; and the rest of the fandom/people/supporters of X is relatively sane.

I think you might be lumping too much people with those nasty and vocal minorities. AO3 is really huge.
