I think they are too, but I initially got Oedipal implications from the secret, until I got to the bit where OP said they were a mother, and had to reread it to work out what they meant. It's quite clumsily phrased.

The secret isn't talking about love songs from children towards their mothers, seeing them in a sexual way, but about the woman's PARTNER, who acknowledges she's beautiful/sexy/etc. WHILE being a mother.

...it wasn't THAT difficult to understand.
