The "God you're my savior" woman on the Tampa flight has become a joke (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/crazy-video-shows-woman-losing-mind-flight-tampa-article-1.1482922) but I actually think it's disturbing because it's obvious she's mentally ill, and hope she got help.

I have a sense of humor. I just don't find anxiety attacks funny.

People made that a joke? Eugh?...ick.

AYRT

Yes. My guess is they see it as this woman being some OTT religious person gone mad, not as someone who was having a literal breakdown.

That poor woman. Having a breakdown is bad enough, let alone having it spread all over the internet and news sites, and made out to be a joke.

First time seeing that, and I find it far more disturbing that on a plane full of people, only one of them is trying to do anything for her at all. The joke should be that even when people are trapped in a small space with you, they'll pretend you don't exist so long as they think you're crazy and you don't get physical. Make it a viral prank, freak the fuck out on a plane and nobody will do anything, not even the attendants! Welcome to the apathy of our world.

According to the guy filming, it had been going on a while so it is possible others had helped in the beginning, and when they were told one by one to leave her alone they did. We only see a few minutes of a twenty minute long ordeal. But it's weird that nobody else even seems remotely concerned or like they just don't know what they do; they're actively ignoring her. :/

Also what the fuck with that guy filming. I hope there's a giggling cameraman around when he's in the middle of a personal crisis in public.

Don't worry, there will be. There always are. Especially should he get beat up in public some day. It's disturbing how so many people are capable to take their phone to film an assault but not use the same phone to dial 911.
