I'm 28 and I've only ever had sex with one person, about 6-8 times, and it was almost 10 years ago.

I'm asexual so I feel like I at least have a reason for it but part of me still feels completely fucking pathetic for not having slept with more people.

I'm 28 and a virgin, anon. There's absolutely nothing pathetic about not having slept with more people, and if you don't want to have sex then you shouldn't be made to feel like you have to in order to not be pathetic. It's nobody's business but yours, and the worth of a person comes from a lot more than how much sex they've had.

27 and a virgin because I'm asexual. The amount of people who told me I can't possibly know I'm asexual if I never tried it is amazing. So don't let weird societal expectations pressure you into stuff you don't want and/or need.

I'm 38 and have had sex 4 times with one person. And I regret that much: I did it basically to overcome some fear and aversion. I'd probably be less reluctant to seek a relationship now if I had taken another path in trying to deal with my fears.

I would hope you wouldn't be so unkind as to consider me pathetic; aim to be just as kind to yourself!

Dude, I'm nearly 21 and not asexual in the least and I've never had sex. Granted, maybe that does make me pathetic, but I reject that conclusion, because I'm not. Don't worry about it. Your worth is not a function of how many people you have put in contact with your genitalia.

You know what? fuck people who think that's "pathetic". It's not. The idea of pathetic doesn't mean much to me anymore because it's relative. A person can consider you pathetic for writing fanfiction, for being shy, for not being able to do what they can and etc. And if someone called you pathetic for ANY of those then they're an asshole.
