You're definitely not alone. I have really enjoyed it. I expected it to start slowly, I was willing to live through early iffy characterization and character blandness, and I'm really pleased that it's already starting to firm up, that the main female character's rounding out and becoming someone I like watching, that Ward is definitely not the main focus, that the stories are becoming better paced - and this is only after four epis. I was a little sad to see a pretty ivory colored team, but it's not completely homogenous. And COULSON! All in all? A definite B in my books, and it has a lot of potential for heading higher. I feel like yelling "Patience, guys!" to fandom sometimes.

Patience, BAH! Fandom has no time for patience! Don't you know everything should be wonderfully inclusive with perfect characterization from the get-go?

all I ask for is that it be interesting from the get-go, honestly. Which Shield was not.
