Why do you caaare? She doesn't sound like an idiot, but you sound like a over-the-top patriotic american stereotype.

DA

People in every other country get to be called what they want to be called. Americans should get the same respect.

No way, America is the embodiment of all that is cishet white male. They don't deserve it!

(Anonymous) 2013-10-17 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, since Americans USians always misspell my country's name and its demonym and are usually pretty rude when someone ask them to fix that repetitive typo, because "it doesn't matter" or something I guess I (and everyone in my country) don't have to "respect"
USians and call them how they want to, since they don't show the same respect for us :D

That's great to know, anon :D

my country's name and its demonym

And those would be...? Are they hard to spell (for Americans unfamiliar with your native language and syntax)? How do you know it's only Americans who misspell it? Is there any particular reason you feel like being an asshole about this point?

(Anonymous) 2013-10-17 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, none of the 300 million Americans can possibly know how to spell your country's name. For fuck sake.

While I don't claim to know 300 million US americans... It's very common to see spanish-sounding names misspelled in their texts. I have seen Mejico and mejicanos or mejicans many, many times, despite the fact that it's written Mexico, and Mexicans and Mexicanos, just like New Mexico. And yes, ColOmbia versus Columbia is very common too.

Bwuh? Am I the only not seeing a big deal here?

Oh noez. A random person on the internet said USian instead of American. Who the fuck cares? o_O

All it needs is some beetroot and it'd be an Australian hamburger.

God forbid someone should be an American patriot. Get over yourself.
