I don't find either of them catchy in a single way , even if I ignore who's actually singing and however shitty the lyrics might be.

Interesting though, how many songs I've heard not unlike Blurred Lines yet it's the first one so widely bitched about.

I think about this too. There are SO MANY songs out there that have themes similar to Blurred Lines and use sexy girls in videos as objects.

...but this is the only one I've seen people actively complain about. I guess because people are speaking up more about rape culture now and this one has gotten a lot of press recently because of the VMAs, etc? But it still seems weird that its this specific song and none other.
