Re: favorite long fic?
That is the rec list I have on my fic-journal, organized by fandom. Anything less than 20,000 words is marked as a short story. I don't know your fandoms, but hopefully something on there will grab you.
Which reminds me, I should really update that list with some of the fics I've read lately...
