Are you a fan of Danny Phantom? (I know a huge long fic for it that even made me accept the finale. and I HATED the finale)

That is the rec list I have on my fic-journal, organized by fandom. Anything less than 20,000 words is marked as a short story. I don't know your fandoms, but hopefully something on there will grab you.

What fandoms?

At this point, any! I'm not huge fan of Harry Potter or a bunch of anime and cartoons but I really will read just about anything.

Hrm. I got 455 bookmarks on Ao3. My main fandoms are Avengers, XMFC, Sherlock, Star Trek, Teen Wolf, Cabin Pressure, and The Hobbit.

I keep mean to have a Fast and Furious marathon like I did with the Saw movies. I haven't seen any of them.

I loveeeeee the Fast and Furious franchise. I would say they're a guilty pleasure but they aren't, I love them wholeheartedly and without shame. They're extremely pretty and lots of fun; there are few movies I've seen as many times as the original.

The only one I haven't seen yet is the most recent, and I've been meaning to, but the one before that was actually pretty well regarded by the general public, lmao. I remember people going, "Oh, wow, this is a solid film", and I agree. However, the first will always be my favorite: the slash potential is more prevalent in that one. (And I'm predictable and easily swayed by such things.)

So yea, I recommend them! I might be biased, but I think that would be a great way to spend an evening.

You're willing to read >100k of any kind of fanfiction regardless of fandom, pairing, or genre? Is there a reason you can't read a book?
I like fanfic as much as the next person, but it's generally what you read when you want something specific.

I've read all the books in my house (just went through a massive re-read) and too sick to leave the house to get to the library. Do you have some free online book recs? I'll take those too.

Ah it's hard to find free online books outside of the classics, so I can see why you'd look for fic. I sometimes read short SF at Tor.com if that interests you.
