Your description is a bit vague, but I bet I would be interested. I've tried reading Night Vale fic and while there's some excellent stuff out there, the majority is not to my liking.

So I say post it. I have no doubt someone will enjoy it, and different is good!

Basically, my own made up back story for "A Story About You", where Cecil knows what he knows because he went through a possesion/projection ritual, and then live aired it on the radio.

Wow, was not expecting that.

It was great! If you have more you should def post them to A03; I think fandom would welcome something like this, it's really intriguing. I didn't give too much thought to the back story of "A Story About You", but I like this and could imagine it happening. The bits at the end about Cecil...ah (don't want to spoil anyone who hasn't read it yet), you know, were fantastic. (And in light of events in recent episodes, make me wonder.)

But yea, I say go for it!

Ah! Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked it! I think I may do a reading of it, since this is largely an audio format medium, and post the story with it.

And I think a reading would be a WONDERFUL idea. Not sure how many people are interested in podfic, but I know if I enjoy a story and there's an audio version available I immediately download it. It's a great alternative and since WTNV is an audio medium, a fitting one.

Downloading right now, thank you! You should write more Night Vale stuff; whether it's character backstory, episode centric or original tales, it would be good. The fandom could always use more fic! (Especially stuff other than Cecil/Carlos, though I ADORE them like whoa.)

Awesome, I'm so glad! I tried to make sure the reading was at least vaguely in the same tonal feel as the episodes, so hopefully I got that right.

I do have one new fic in the pipes right now-- another fairly short, contained one, and maybe it'll turn into a full fic. This whole experience has encouraged me immensely, thank you.
