(Anonymous) 2013-10-17 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)and let me just say (I'm not sure this is what OP is afraid of, but I want to say it anyway) that the urge to define oneself as a person of taste and intelligence by reacting against and mocking pop things is extraordinarily snobbish, and dumb, and also incredibly boring, especially when it comes to pop music, and I wish people would stop doing it. The youtube comment page "Like if you're listening to this in 2013! Why don't they make good music anymore instead of crap like Justin Bieber?" school of music criticism.
