On the one hand, I understand. On the other hand, I read slash fics because I know that the two best friends are never gonna be holding hands, go on a date, and be canon, so I go for fanfics because I wanna read about them getting together.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against friendships, but I already have a lot of m/m friendships in canon. I just want too see the guy getting together with the other guy.
