I don't ship Spock/Uhura but I do sometimes ship Scotty/Uhura. So I'm assuming that earns me a "get-out-of-race-wank-free" card. I mean, unless someone is saying I'm xenophobic against Vulcans. That would be interesting.

As for your actual secret, um, yeah, it's overdone. Sometimes things are motivated by bigotry and sometimes people just have different tastes. It's a complicated issue I feel a lot of people try to simplify into... black and white. :/ Pun really not intended there. I'm just unsure how else to say it.

I don't think you get a card for that, actually. A lot of people think Scotty/Uhura shippers only ship it so they can ship Character/Spock (usually Kirk/Spock.) So, you'd probably get tagged for OMG MISOGYNY!!!!!

Damn it, but I only ship Spock in the original universe with McCoy. He's perpetually single in Reboot.

But then, I'm willing to read anything so... I guess not having any problem with Spock/Kirk makes me a bad misogynistic shipper. Oh no! How will I live with myself?!

Scotty/Uhura happened only in one of the old movies and Uhura wasn't even herself and they like never have a relationship on screen. It's like shipping Kirk/Uhura for that forced first.
