I understand that. I just have different priorities. Why get more angry at girl gamers when it's not their fault that people stereotype you're entire gender based on shitty behaviour, especially when you're acknowledging that that level of shitty behaviour has been normalized for years. By male gamers.

Probably because a lot of those stereotypes are being broken now, especially in mmos? Like the existence of people like the poster described give the sexist men something to point to and use as proof of their outdated beliefs and deny they're outdated.

This. I hate the fact that women are supposed to earn the same kind of respect men are apparently born with. The 'don't give them a reason' approach is more insidious and way more dangerous than straight out back-to-the-kitchen sexism, imo.
